Emily is a principal and executive who has refined her passion and dedication to thoughtful, intentional architecture for over 25 years. Responsible for the national client experience strategy, and marketing activities for Billard Leece Partnership
nationally, Emily is also responsible for leading the Seniors Living + Communities sector, designing and delivering projects that promote health and wellbeing for their users.
Emily’s introduction to the world of design began at a young age with architecture and construction running in her family. With a compassionate and considerate approach, Emily designs with the inhabitants of buildings in mind to ensure that spaces and environments are welcoming, accessible, and culturally appropriate.
She has successfully led projects in the seniors living, health, education, and mixed-use / residential sectors. Since joining BLP in 2014, Emily’s focus has been on deepening the expertise across the team, particularly in the seniors living + communities’ sector. She has participated in international study tours, held advisory roles with industry bodies, including the National Ageing Research Institute, and has delivered award-winning projects.
Emily’s contribution to architecture extends beyond design; she is a problem solver who focuses on human-centred, research-based principles to incorporate the latest trends and data into the process and solution. Whether the project entails master planning, urban design, or interior architecture’s finer details, Emily can seamlessly understand and interpret project requirements and translate them into a thorough brief and design outcome that exceeds client expectations.
For Emily, it is about creating vibrant and engaging environments that complement and enhance people’s lives, with a focus on sustaining wellness at every part of the process.
