Leida Pirts has worked in retirement living for over 13 years. She joined the Retirement Living Council in 2013 where she focuses on research and policy including the annual Property Council Retirement Census and the new Retirement Living Management Capability Model. Prior to this, Leida worked in various government roles including developing policy and legislation for the Queensland retirement village regulator and examining seniors’ wellbeing for local government in the UK. She has qualifications in law, public policy and education, and teaches public policy and demographic analysis at a university outside of her retirement living work.
